Private video & audio messages

Record the words they will need later.

A quiet place to record video and audio letters for the people you love — kept sealed until the birthday, the anniversary, or the day they need to hear you.

We hold it, we cannot read itEvery message is encrypted on your own device before it reaches us, and the key travels only to the person you name. Not our staff, not a court order, not a data breach can open a sealed capsule early — and if this company ever stops existing, your recipient keeps the file and the key. What we do see: your email address, who you have addressed a message to, and the date it opens. What we never see is what is inside it.
How sealing works
How it works

Three steps, then forget about it

The point of this is that it keeps without your attention. Record it once; it waits.

One message, from recording to opening

This is the whole of it. You record once, it is sealed on your device, and then nothing is asked of you again until the day it opens.

What people record

Mostly ordinary things, saved for a day that matters.

Not speeches. The way you say their name, the story you always tell, the advice you would give if you were in the room.

  • For your child's future birthday

The eighteenth. The morning of the wedding. Record it while they are small enough to sit on your lap.

  • For a partner on an anniversary

The things that are hard to say across a dinner table, said properly, and kept for the day it lands best.

  • For a friend in a hard season

Something to open on the day they need it, from before either of you knew the day was coming.

  • For milestones far ahead

A graduation, a fortieth, a first house — moments you would want a word in, whether or not you are there to give it.

Voice and face only

No vaults, no passwords, no paperwork.

Future Message does one thing. There is nothing to organise, nothing to hand over, and no forms — which is why it takes ten minutes rather than a weekend.

Your voice, your face, your words. Nothing here is generated, cloned, or written for you. What they get is a recording of you.

We deliberately do not store documents, passwords, account lists or estate instructions. Those are a different job, done by other tools, and mixing them in would make this one harder to finish — and the recording is the part nobody else can make on your behalf.

Privacy

Private by construction, not by promise.

The design decides this, not our good intentions — and it is worth being precise about what that does and does not mean.

  • Encrypted before it leaves you

Your recording is encrypted in your browser and uploaded already sealed. The key is wrapped to the people you chose — so we hold the message and cannot read it.

  • A date lock that we cannot skip

For a message set to a future date, you can lock it to that date. Until it arrives, the key needed to open it does not exist yet — not for us, and not for anyone who asks us.

  • No memorial page, no feed

Nothing you record is published, browsable, or shown to anyone but the person you named. There is no public profile here to visit.

On the other end

Receiving it should take a moment, not an afternoon.

Whoever you record for is probably not in the mood to learn software on the day this arrives.

  1. 1

A private link arrives by email. One message, addressed to them — never a mailing list, and never with your words quoted in the email itself.

  2. 2

They open it in the browser. Video plays, audio plays, nothing to install. It works on the phone in their hand.

  3. 3

They set up their own account once. It takes a couple of minutes, and it is the reason this works: the key that opens your message is theirs, which is what keeps it out of our hands and everyone else's.

Say it now. Send it when it matters.

The recording takes an afternoon at most. Having made it lasts considerably longer.
